Aster Allied Health is an emerging allied health service based in Melbourne owned and operated by MOIRA Ltd, a southeast based not-for-profit company. The brand and its services were to roll-out over a series of sprints that began with Occupational Therapy.
The Aster Allied Health brand would appeal to the following sectors:
- Private market (retail)
- Organisations, schools and workplaces
- NDIS
The visual assets for the brand were considered in terms of name, colour and iconography. Aster - a type of flower - was to be incorporated but not so literally. The brand wanted to communicate a strong sense of inclusion, rapport and creativity.
By stage 3 of the development process we had developed the main brand icon. Visually the four shapes can be read as building blocks, or it could be seen as a flower with one circle petal - an important motif used to accentuate lateral thinking and processes.
The subsequent marketing materials were developed with the same thinking and rationale. We wanted to stand out from the other Occupational Therapy brands and capture peoples attention for the right reasons. By emphasising the idea of 'creative solutions' we were able to conceptualise flyers and business cards that exuded modernity and new ways of thinking.
